About the circuit
The Grand Prix of China is held on the Shanghai International Circuit. This track that combines the traditional and the modern, was made to showcase Shanghai’s splendor to the world. To accomplish this, they brought their best architects together and developed a track that represents the Chinese culture.
Since 2004 the Chinese Grand Prix has a place on the Formula 1 calendar. The track itself has a length of 5.451 m, contains 14 turns and is recognizable by motorsport enthusiasts for the famous snail-like turn 1 to 3.
This highly technical circuit low speed sections, high speed straights and sharp turns makes the Shanghai International Circuit one to remember.
